My husband and I dined at Sparkill Steakhouse this evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. My husband and I have dined here many times prior and have always had a delicious meal with excellent service. However, tonight was very disappointing. When we arrived, the restaurant was not busy. We placed our order in a timely manner. While we were eating our main course, no waiter came over to ask how everything was or to offer us another drink. As our meal drew to a close, no one approached to see if we wanted to look at the dessert menu, even though several waitstaff walked past us without acknowledging our table. This is my wife's and my date night special occasion destination. Food is phenomenal. Personally, I rate it better than a Ruth's Chris. Bone in ribeye or lamb are my favorites, and my wife's go to's are filet and lobster. All the sides are great. Staff is super fun and friendly NOT a stuffy, steakhouse vibe. Can't wait for the next occasion to come here! Parking: Huge parking lot. No valet needed. Kid friendliness: We actually brought our kids here once for a 70th birthday and the staff was wonderful. I thought it was a bad idea before bringing them, but it honestly went fine and staff accommodated us amazingly.
