"Love this place, yummiest samosas and especially the Malai Kofta. We get takeaway here more often than we should. Chef Nirup is always so welcoming and happy to see us, would highly recommend!"

Long years ago I went to a Spice Bazaar in Double Bay, and I still have the sweet memories of that visit. I have no idea if this restaurant has any relationship with the previous one, or only their name is the same, but I...wouldn't cherish the memories of this one for sure. Basically, there was nothing wrong with this restaurant; the food was tasty, the service was attentive and fast, only both of us like it hot. I mean really hot, Indian hot. Malay kofta usually isn't a fiery dish, but if I order it spicy, other places serve it for my liking. My partner's Beef Vindaloo should have to be very hot asking or not. We were late for lunch so loving Indian food we went to Spice Bazaar where it is sometimes good and others??? We asked for the lunch specials lamb Rogan Josh and Chicken ???. Both small meals were served with very dry...rice with only meat in gravy. The meat was tender but the dry rice kept sticking in our throats. There were no vegetables. We needed a lot of water to wash it down and as a consequence had reflux later in the day. We won't go again! Five Star Spice Thai restaurant has a meal with lots of vegetables which is where we will go next time!

Nirup and Praba are the most interesting couple who are both professional Indian chefs. The taste of the food brings me back to South India. I especially like the South Indian breakfasts which are served at the weekend. All served with a smile and very...reasonable cost. Ideal for families. Although, its best to book if its a large group.

Wonderful service and excellent food. My favourite Indian restaurant. The family that runs this little establishment are always welcoming and happy to have your business. The food is made fresh and its full of flavour. Always warm and hits the spot.
