recently reopened and made for covid to feel welcome by the new renter, looking to expand the service, but asked to add the following. open at the moment Thursday to Sunday, not hot eating, served at the moment only cold eating. recently opened a camping site, £25 per night for camping cars on hard surface, £18 per night for tents on the field. the institutions are limited but welcome to use the pubs services. So, if they travel along a66 and need a safe place to stay and look for a comfortable place, then they give them a try, phone before they go to make sure they have space.
We had a Saturday afternoon of watching football in this excellent pub, chris, who runs the place made us feel at home, the menu is not as advertised as Chris has taken it over and has his own menu. Sandwiches, baked potatoes etc. All presented as if you were in a 5 star hotel. I highly recommend stopping for a bite and a pint. The chef sorted out carry out containers so we could order and take back to the lodge for supper as well. Definitely will visit again..
great place for a drink or a meal. it is a very unpretentious place, but has great eating, good choice when drinks, fantastic view and a large free parking place. not a children's playground, but they had a children's menu.!? also the wee selections lack something.
Absolutely amazing! What a beautiful restaurant, with great service and delicious food! I can't praise the ribs enough! My tummy is very happy now! The place was quite busy, so I was really pleased to be able to take photos without people in them.

The staff were excellent, and the food was truly outstanding. Everything we ordered was of exceptional quality. The background music was at the perfect volume, creating a lovely atmosphere.
Another excellent restaurant connected to a pub. The waitress was attentive and efficient, assisting with my partner's gluten, tomato, and peanut intolerance. The meal was outstanding.
