Typical Club Bistro struggling to cope with a large crowd in for Christmas Lunch. Servers were busy but polite. Effort made with 3 course set menu exceeding regular menu but except for party crackers on the table you would not know it was a Christmas Lunch. Not sure how many other single dinners attended asking to be seated at a shared table but my initial internal wall 2 seat table was found to be occupied. I was then reallocated to another 2 seat table in the far external wall corner. Visiting from Vancouver, Canada the $132 price did not compare favourably with my downtown 5 star Hotel Restaurants all less than $99 for Christmas Lunch. We had made a reservation for 6:00, placed our order at 6:20, and waited for 30 minutes. By around 7:55, we still hadn't received our food and noticed other patrons going to the service counter to demand their meals. Some people gave up and left. When we asked about our order, we were told that it was "hidden," even though nothing appeared to be ready. We decided to cancel our order, received a refund with very little grace, and left feeling extremely disappointed. Overall, it was a hopeless experience.
I am still disappointed that the smaller portion options have not been added back to the menu. With my small appetite, all the meals are too large for me. I would love to be able to order a smaller portion of the daily special.

The meal was lovely and great portion sizes. Service was quite quick considering how busy it was. Took longer to get a drink. Overall it was really good.
Bit disappointed with our meal. My hubby chose the rump steak, medium rare it was well done. I chose the Creamy mushroom linguine, it was quite bland.
Eating was amazing despite the many options not available due to the celebration and missing deliveries.
Way too expensive. The prices are a joke! Off to the Royal, to compare.
