I was one of the first of our group to order but my pizza was only made 45 mins later after everyone else was served, it coukd have been cooking while they made the fish and chips. I was not told I could not have some of my ingredients. The ham was horrible, there was barely any cheese, the crust was fantastic, i ate just that in the end. Others who tried it did not like it. It was covered with a red powder, one of the worst I've ever had. We didn't eat til late as it took so long to get our order in. Two couples were still waiting for their fish after me. My husband didn't like his seafood.
This pub is in the old port historical precinct on Echuca and promotes Pizza as a speciality. So that's what we decided go there for. However, on arrival we were greeted by someone who proceeded to tell us everything they offer and it got so confusing that we didn't end up having Pizza at all. That was our mistake, granted.However, what we had was delivered lukewarm and was appealing. Service was ordinary and our overall impression was of a restaurant that tries way too hard to please everyone, and where staff don't seem to have clearly defined roles. We left feeling cheated somehow.
This was a return visit as we had enjoyed a lunch here before, what happened ? I ordered the special Greek lamb with green salad and greek roasted potatoes. The supposed "Char grilled" lamb had been over cooked, it was dry on the edges and very greasy. I think it had be previously carved and then pan fried again) the potatoes, what there was of them ( two thinly sliced wedges) also greasy and the "salad" well a bit of greens with a few sliced onions. Over cooked Over priced Over it. Lost me and the group of 4 others.
Murray River roadtrip lunch stop to remember. Simple vego pizza's, "epic chips" (16yo claims to be the world expert), friendly country service with a smile all seated in cosy atmosphere devoted to celebrating the paddlesteamer days. Waitress couldn't do enough for us as we grabbed the bonus wine n dine lunch special to boot. Stroll by the river remembering great paddleboat holidays of the past drifting carefree down the Murray with all the time in the world...Happy campers.

It was a very cold day in Echuca and after a morning out lunch at the warm pub was just the thing. We opted for a pizza and drinks, fresh hot and delicious. Washed down with a local chardonnay and beer.
Enjoyed the food, it arrived quick & was delicious. Once we finished eating we moved to sit next to the open fire & had a chat with the locals. Would go back again.
I found the food delicious!!!! I ordered the Beef and Reef The beef was very flavorful, juicy and went very well with the garlic butter sauce.
Warm, friendly and the absolute best pizza. Roast of the day was also amazing. Meals are decent serve, we left totally stuffed.
