The pizza tastes great and is always made fresh. The style of pizza has a thinner type of crust, so you end up eating more than you usually eat somewhere else. If thin crust is not your style, this is not your place. The wings also taste good. Good amount of crabs and soaked in buffalo sauce. But the place can be quite expensive and they are always underused on weekends. There are only two... maybe three, waiters go around and it's clear they're always busy. But since this is said, they still do a great job. You'll just wait a little longer. Some dishes seem too expensive for what they are... But in the pizza department, the prices are all right.
We went to lunch after doing an installation job in west Orange. One of the employee who is a friend of ours recommended Star Tavern and we sat down immediately. There is a nice waiter who seemed to be managing all of the tables. There were about 40 people eating lunch. Can’t wait to taste the pizza. Regular pizza joint atmosphere with a Bar. The bartender seemed nice from the way she handled her clients at the bar. The pizza was great. We ordered a portobello with pine nuts with dried tomatoes and we kicked up a notch with hot peppers
When I lived in New Jersey, it was a regular visit. Now it's a treat; I am pleased to report that it is still so excellent. It's not nice, but the pizza is an art. The rest of the menu is also excellent, not sleeping on them. Get a pitcher from Sierra Nevada, order a few thin crust cakes and enjoy.
Great pizza. Great atmosphere. Great bartender. Great experience everywhere. The crust had a hard time with the weight of the old school everything, but it was still delicious. I ordered the 14 inches and had to stop eating the whole thing. Delicious!
