I came with a group of four people. We were seated immediately. Attractive diner. Three of us had eaten at this diner multiple times in the past. Few patrons in the diner at the time we were seated. A waiter stated I 'll be right with you then never returned. Twenty minutes had elapsed and we did not even get placemats and flatware. I grabbed some from another table. Another waiter eventually came by. This person was training someone else. Both were very pleasant. We placed our order. Another 40 minutes passed. Terrible experience! I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap and was extremely disappointed. The chicken's breading was soggy and unappetizing, lacking any crispiness. I specifically requested blue cheese, but it wasn't included, leaving me overwhelmed by the buffalo sauce. Additionally, there was hardly any lettuce or tomatoes, and what little there was seemed old and wilted. Even though I was starving, I struggled to eat it because it tasted so bad. The fries were also soggy. It felt like a complete waste of money. I'm usually not picky and can manage to eat just about anything, but this was just unacceptable. Our experience was quite disappointing. The service was poor, especially since we were a large party and the server forgot to enter our order, though they did apologize. When I requested to speak to the manager, I found her to be unhelpful; she only offered a complimentary dessert, which did little to make up for the fact that one of our friends couldn't enjoy their meal with the rest of us. Diana, the manager, was unprofessional in her approach to our table. It's unfortunate that hardworking teachers like us can't enjoy a decent lunch, even when the restaurant isn't particularly busy and the service should be better.
Hated it!!! Management the worst. Food awful, late, cold, and unappealing. When issues brought up they are defended instead of correct. Party of 15 gratuity included and poor service. Beans straight out the can no flavor at all. Apple boiled to a pulp. Shrimp freezer burned. Pizza overcooked with minimal cheese and sauce just bread. Etc I could go but why. I will never go back. Racist manager asked us not to return because we were not satisfied. We spent over $365 and no one ate the food. Stay clear. Exterior looks fine but don't be deluded. Absolute worst.

This is my third or fourth time there each time is a different experience. The service was horrible once our food came it was placed on the table behind us our server proceeded to help another customer while our food just sat there getting cold then she turned around and brought it to the table. The food was bland and didn't have any taste no seasoning just an all around horrible experience this will definitely be my last time.She doesn't have a sense of urgency when it comes to helping customers really think she needs to be retrained.
Staff is super awesome and friendly! This diner is so beautiful inside I was impressed. The booth seats are really nice. I had the veggie panini(3 sandwich pieces! and it was very good, fries were so tasty and seasoned perfectly. TBH I think this was the first time I've seen waffle fries offered at a diner so it was a nice change! Will definitely be back
I have been coming to State Street Grill for over a decade and today was a five star day! Carlos our waiter was amazing and the manager Simone checked on our table which has never happened to me. Food was amazing and Carlos suggested substitutions to maximize individual orders. Excellent!
My only complaint was they sit 2 tops by the door. My son and I ate with coats on. It was freezing. Bill was $40 with tip. The 5 egg white western egg omelette with cheese was $18 alone But the food was delicious and the waitress Jessica was great to us.

I'm curious why my water cup is about the size of a pepper shaker. It's literally just a sip and it's empty! You really need to get larger cups.
