I had to wait quite a while, but the young man grilling the burgers and the young woman assisting him were both very apologetic and professional. When I got home with my steak burger, I was thrilled to discover it was likely the best I’ve ever had. They both deserve praise for their efforts, and I plan to return, hoping for the same great experience—just without the long wait!
We love Steak'n Shake! We just ate at the one on Lindbergh in St. Louis, and was waited on by Ali. What a sweetheart! We aren't from this area, so it's our first time here. We were seated fairly quickly considering how busy the place was. We received our drinks and food quickly, it was correct and delicious! Next time we are in town, we will eat here again.
I am glad this Steak and Shake is still open. It is right next to my Dentist's Office, and it has become my ritual to stop by for a Double Garlic Steakburger Combo (with a shake instead of a coke) after a visit to my dentist. Delicious, even though the garlic butter soaked through several pages of a book I was reading while waiting for my order.

The service at this restaurant is awful. This is the second time they have ignored our orders and talked over us. I hope they improve their customer service in the future.
Upon arriving, I was greeted quickly, and the staff were both friendly and professional. The restrooms in the restaurant were impressively clean.
