Terrible food! Ordered vegan bratwurst with sauerkraut and potato mash, a bretzel and a side salad. Sauerkraut was grey and inedible, the sausage had barely seen a pan and the mash was some re-heated and chopped up boiled potatoes. Bretzel was hard, dry and also inedible. The side salad was ok, but only just. What is going on? This used to be a good, fairly authentic Bavarian restaurant. Now it is completely overpriced and serves up horrible food. The waitress, however, was very attentive and helpful. She deducted 50% of the price. Sadly, it was not even worth that.
Great winter food, hearty portions! The food looked and tasted fantastic, was nice to taste different sausages and the cheese fondant was amazing. Would also recommend the Black Forest gateaux if you can fit it in. The children’s menu is limited, but good. Both kids are really well. The ambience is really welcoming and cosy, we visited on Xmas eve so it was a lovely experience!
Below average German food. Paulana beer was good, but not pulled properly. Kalbschnizel and Schweineschnitzel were below average. Karoffelsalat (potato salad) was ok. Vegetable salad was poor. Overall, so sad to see such food served as German food which is mostly very tasty. Definitely, not done by someone who knows German food.
both the Ladies was amazing tonight both was super friendly and welcoming....but I definitely will be returning due Katya I hope I've spelt her name right. not saying Isabella was any worse but Katya played certain music dewing close....honestly hats of to both ladies the best costumer service I I've had in a long time

We were taken here by our son who thought we would like it he was right. Food was tasty and oh so filling and the beer was good. Music was a bit loud for my tastes but that is most likely me. Would go again without a doubt.
Mondays at this restaurant are perfect for enjoying delicious Austrian cuisine at half the price during Schnitzel night. A must-try for anyone craving authentic flavors.
Superb. A little bit of Germany in England. And a chance to practice my German! Its a shame we live so far away Newcastle but we'll definitely be back.
We only popped in for a quick drink but will definitely stay longer next time. Great riverside location and really chilled friendly atmosphere.
