SAO offers excellent Italian trade fair and offers a great service. We visited Monday and it was busy. The outer seat area is comfortable and well designed. Our server was professional and welcoming. I always have chicken parm in new Italian restaurants and her is a solid offer. Our Gnocchi and Meatball Appetizers also at point. All in, I was shaking over SAO to all my Bay Area friends and would return without hesitation.
We really wanted to like this place. It was highly recommended. But looking for two hair in two different dishes, food that was not impressive, and stale the bread pudding tasting, I can simply not recommend this place. If you are in Burlingame and want good Italian cuisine to look elsewhere. If this place is half the price it would be 5 stars. But at this price, I would expect better.
Had dinner reservations for 5:30pm on a Friday night. I suggest making reservations ? I did on a Wednesday and 5:30pm was all I could find (or 9:30pm). We were seated at a hallway-corner so I couldn?t really appreciate the restaurant?s ambience. Gnocchi was excellent though! Lamp chops were perfect. Can?t say that it was a mind-blowing experience, but would come back
We sat outside and the service was excellent. We shared the meatballs and burrata for appetizers that were both great. Only the question was that the lasagna was a bit cold when it was served. Wish it had more heat on it, but the taste was there. Everyone enjoyed their meal, will definitely be back. Book a table now
Excellent. Lovely inside and outside. Excellent pasta and veggies. The restaurant gets a nice crowd and the service is good. Loved the gnocchi -we had it with the pesto sauce, the Alfredo sauce, and the walnut Gorgonzola sauce. Loved the Brussels sprouts, the mushrooms, and the spinach.
small , quaint, charming Italian restaurant off the beat in track in downtown Burlingame. Be sure to make a reservation, otherwise you can wait a long time. Cozy bar. Only down fall of this place is that it gets a little noisy. It is worth the noise.

"It's a small little bar on the backside of Curry Up Now. Although it says that they are open till 12 AM, they got closed at 10:30 PM on a Friday. So we did not get a chance to try their cocktails."
