Reception was cheerful and welcoming. Orders were taken promptly. Drinks served soon after. My chocolate milk was nice but not icy cold so I asked for some ice to put in and they straight away wanted to make me another one but I declined as it was cold enough for most people..I just prefer it icy cold. ..so just settled for the ice to add in. The meals we ordered were very nice and lovely and fresh. The resturant itself was very clean n in a lovely location oposite the Pioneer river. Would definately go back again as it was a lovely experience.
It wasn't very busy, waited so long for service, just to bring water. We ordered drinks (fruit frappe) they took forever and tasted terrible, we kept looking over to the Coffee Club and wishing we'd gone there instead. When the food arrived we felt really defeated, ate, paid, left, haven't been back. I left feedback on Facebook and the manager replied, asked for a inbox message and never replied.Felt like crying.
This place is and has always been a disappointment. Limited options for Gluten Free and I've never come across a staff member who seems to care. Appears they couldn't give a dam how sick their patrons can become if they eat something they shouldn't.Besides their attitude the meals are ordinary and tasteless. Disappointing!
Honestly every time I have been to the Stella Rossa at Canelands I've been seriously disappointed, the one at Parkside Plaza is great, which leaves me thinking it's an issue with staff and management there. Normally we have huge waits on food and every now...More

Just another boring uninspiring chain restaurant. I didn't think it was possible but even worse than The Coffee Club. First time here only dined here after discovering our favorite Caneland restaurant had unfortunately closed.
When the staff greet you with happy enthusiasm it lays the basis for an enjoyable experience. This was only a quick bite at lunchtime but the meal was tasty, well presented and good value. Definitely worth considering.
Needed somewhere for a quick but good coffee...really enjoyed a cuppa at Stella Rossa in Mackay. Service was good: affogato was delicious and environment was cool and fresh! Well done!
Although the food was delicious, be aware that the "cooking time" is 25 minutes, so it may not be the best choice if you are hungry and looking for a quick meal.

The coffee in Mackay is the best. The food is nothing extraordinary. Sometimes it takes a while to receive the coffee. They should consider offering WiFi.
