This restaurant is a beautiful venue with a classy bar area. The food is impressive, although it's on the pricier side. The quality is above average, and the portions are generous. However, one major letdown was the lack of flexibility regarding substitutions; despite all side dishes being priced the same, the staff was not very accommodating and didn’t provide a clear explanation for that. I recently heard that this restaurant is closing, and I’m really upset about it. If you haven’t been yet, you definitely should go! The building has a rich history and is incredibly beautiful inside. I visited for lunch and ordered the rigatoni Bolognese, paired with a glass of sangria, both of which were perfectly prepared. Our waiter was fantastic! He noticed I had dropped my napkin even before I realized it and quickly brought me a new one. I plan to visit again, and I encourage everyone else to do the same and support this wonderful restaurant.
I was looking for a venue to host a bridal shower, and I found this beautiful place with unique spaces that cater to different party sizes. They also offer tents for additional flexibility. I'm sharing some photos so that others considering this venue can get a better idea before making the trip.

One of my favorite places to visit and work at for the past 10 years, I'm so sad to see it close due to this pandemic. I will truly miss the Stony Hill Inn in Hackensack; it has been a landmark for many years, serving the community well. May the memories live on forever.
Gus provided excellent service, and the food was exceptional, as usual. The bar felt a bit crowded and noisy, but after being quarantined for some time, we were accustomed to smaller crowds. We plan to return before August 1!
