"Sav your money foe a course that the keep in good condition. The rough is covered with old grass the was due to lack of maintenance, they let it go s Ling it layer like hay all over the course. Pace of play wasn't much better nd the buildings are all dilapidated.... not break on the hefty green fees though. So, is not a great place to play as it once was...."

Listen, overall Stow Acres is fun, but the reason it gets 2 stars is cause it has so much potential to be great…. But it can just let you down. Case and point, the driving range is constantly closed. It’s so disappointing pulling up on a bright sunny day, and seeing the “range closed sign.” I get it, things flood, but when you consider it’s not necessarily cheap to play here, and you have Butternut right next door…. I just wish they made some slight improvements. Then this place would be a GEM!

Left a nice pitching wedge by accident at one of the holes, was expecting it to be returned to lost and found but this place clearly has some people playing that like to steal. Big course between the north and south but somehow you’re always waiting for walkers to slowly finish up. I’ve realized a lot of walkers will hit 3-4 balls and make you wait 3-4x longer. Course could be maintained a bit better and the price should go down. BTW DONT GET THE FRIES, they are frozen JUNK !!

They do take care of the place very well. There are a few tough spots at the moment due to excessive rain. Website is terrible and bookings through GolfNow seem to be an unexpected surprise for them. Basically the operations are still in the late 90s or early 2000s. BTW if you go in late September or early October add 45 min to an hour of travel time due to the annual apple picking apocalypse. Better yet, go before 8 am.

First time out here (North course). The layout is decent (few reachable par 5s) but the conditions definitely left something to be desired. Teeboxes were beat up on almost all holes. And the greens were in very rough shape tons of pitch marks, very slow but only in certain areas of the green (clearly patched sanded areas). Carts were very slow, oddly. Starter and cart girl(s) were friendly.
