Süden is one of those little local cafes you dream of finding on holiday. Very popular with locals great atmosphere and wonderful food. Try to get here for sunday breakfast and you will find such a selection of diners. Young families, visitors, locals who...haves lived on Bergerstrasse for ever, hipsters and taxi drivers. On my last visit I had scrambled egg with chorizo and it was perfect hint of chilli, fizzy water and an espresso less than ten euro. I was on my own but talked with two Canadian visitors a Danish banker, Spanish bike messenger and two of my German neighbours. We love it and so will you. Located in the middle of Berger Straße in Bornheim, the South Cafe in Bornheim is one of my favorites in cafes. Very pleasant is especially the audience I could not immediately locate the bankers and lawyers as often in the city center. The cafe looks rather inconspicuous at first glance, but it is definitely worth going in as the decor is really very cozy and welcoming. The cafe is almost always well visited and the staff is mostly courteous and really friendly. The South Cafe, in my opinion, is one of the few cafes in Frankfurt, where you have an atmosphere like in Prenzl Berg in Berlin.
Nice cafe on Berger Straße in Bornheim, mixed audience, many regular customers, you can have wonderful breakfast here, my favorite place is the smoking bench in front of the window.
