I was initially hesitant to try Korean food outside of Flushing Queens, but I am so glad I did. This hidden gem in a busy shopping plaza should not be missed. The food I had here was delicious, reasonably priced, and the portions were large. We started with an order of 10 wings. While I was expecting crispy Korean fried chicken, these wings were more traditional with a unique sweet and savory sauce that had hints of mango. The chicken was tender and flavorful. Before our main dish arrived, we were served a variety of fermented veggies and kimchi. For my main dish, I chose the dolsot bibimbap, which was served in piping hot stoneware. The first time in, we came for the hot bibimbap. It was delicious. The second time we came in, we came for the Haemul Sundubu Jjigae. Also delicious. The sides are nice, the chicken wings are a bit too sweet for my taste, but still tasty. And neither of us were big fans of the kimchi soup. It was good, but it wasn't the flavor we were looking that visit. Our waiter has been very helpful every time we've been in, suggesting dishes based on what we tell him we've enjoyed, and has a great sense of humor as well.
This was our first visit to Hot Bibimbap and we found it to be delicious. On our second visit, we tried Haemul Sundubu Jjigae and it was also delicious. The sides were fantastic, although the chicken wings were a bit too sweet for our liking. We weren't big fans of the Kimchi soup as it wasn't the taste we were expecting. Our waiter was always very helpful and had a good sense of humor.
I ordered the tofu stew with a water base, making sure to specify vegan with no meat or eggs. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. I can't wait to return. You can also request the bibimbap without meat or eggs. Be sure to check with the staff about the kimchi and other side dishes to confirm if they are vegan or not.

This family-owned restaurant serves delicious Korean food with pride. We started with a tasty kimchi pancake appetizer and enjoyed a variety of banchan alongside our meals. The spicy seafood soup with noodles was particularly outstanding. The service was incredibly sweet and everyone in our group enjoyed their meals.
Nice local place for Korean food. Generous portions for the price, and the accompaniments are very authentic. Loved the kimchi. They also have a Lunch Specials menu. Not sure if there are any other Korean restaurants nearby, so nothing for comparison. 4.5 stars would be appropriate
Found an amazing Korean restaurant- Surasang Korean restaurant. The owners were great hosts. It was amazing Korean food. The flavors I didn't taste since I lived in the Korean city in Los Angeles. I highly recommend this place.
