Sushi City has been my go-to sushi spot for over a decade. The food has always been so consistent, and to this day I haven’t found a better quality All-You-Can-Eat experience anywhere else. For the combined experiences I’ve had for the past thirteen years, I have to give this place five stars.But I will say this… Sushi City used to be the best-kept secret in town. Back then the prices were super reasonable, the food was fresh, and the restaurant had great service and a calming atmosphere. A lot has changed. The reviews for this restaurant are misleading. My first clue should have been its location in an entirely deserted strip mall. I suspect that many of the other reviewers have never experienced good (or even fresh) sushi. Everything we ordered tasted pre-cooked and reheated, resulting in extremely dry and nearly inedible dishes. I appreciated the all-you-can-eat option, but that menu didn't feature any of the items we truly enjoy. It was a major letdown. The robot waiter was charming, and the staff were very friendly, but unfortunately, none of that could make up for the lackluster quality of the food.
The best AYCE in Downers Grove! The price is $30 for the dinner option which is reasonable for how much food is included. The staff is incredibly friendly! Kellie walked us through the menu and gave us suggestions we really loved. My favorite roll was the torched dragon. You can tell the chefs put a lot of effort into the presentation of the rolls and they taste amazing! On weekends it gets really busy for dinner sometimes around an hour wait. But if you call ahead they will give you an estimate of how long the wait is. Overall 5 stars from me!Parking: Tons of parking
This is the best buffet I've been to in a long time. Delicious sushi. Lots of creative, tasty flavors. We came here last time on a very busy day. We could tell the staff was working hard to keep things moving along. Clean facilities and plenty of parking. Average prices for a sushi restaurant. This place is a hit among my friends! This restaurant is fantastic! The food is delicious, and the staff is wonderful. One server who truly stood out was Jasmine; she was kind and very organized. She was always available to assist us whenever we needed anything and provided excellent recommendations. Her service really enhanced our experience! I highly recommend this place! Food: 5/5
We had an amazing server named Katie! She really went above and beyond for our large group of 20, treating everyone with kindness and grace. Managing such a big table is no easy task, but she handled it with a smile the entire time! She made our experience truly delightful, and we hope to have her as our waitress again! Food: 5/5
a friend of mine recommended Sushi City because I love sushi and I am a big eater. The all you can eat is wonderful for someone like me. Also they have one of the largest menus of all you can eat I have encountered. I have since introduced 4 more people to this restaurant and they love it as well. I go back as much as I can.
Splendid serviceSushi was great tooAYCE do not generally comes with good service but the young Caucasian girl who was serving was great personality and helpful with menu. Very customer oriented and if I have a restaurant I will hire her anytime.

The food was good and tasty. But the restaurant was a bit dark inside, and floor was sticky.But the staff was very nice and friendly.We ordered a second plate of sushi and it took almost 30 min to arrive.But overall the experience was good.
