I was really excited to find this little restaurant tucked away in freshwater as I love my Japanese food.The decor is great and the place quickly got busy. The restaurant offered some lunch specials at around $11 (see plate below) but I found that my serving was rather small compared to my son's copious chicken teriyaki bowl. The food was good but the service was terribly hectic for such a small place and so many staff: one of my sons waited a while for a roll which came wrapped in plastic, and they forgot my hubby's beef all together as well as my tea. I noticed that they also forgot another customer chicken main. It might be useful if the waitress wrote the orders down? A bit disappointed...
Had lunch here with the family today. Staff were friendly, i ordered the seared scallop and crab 9 piece roll off the menu, took a little while to come out but was definitely worth the wait! I love my sushi and this didnt disappoint, the portion size was massive (9 pieces and i was stuffed) beautifully presented with super fresh ingredients, very reasonable prices as well. Im looking foward to taking some friends back for dinner soon, BYO also which is a massive bonus.
We went on a Saturday night around 8:00pm for dinner and the place was packed. We ordered tempura dish, udon, beef bento and some sushi. All dishes came out quick, good presentation and were all tasty. Cute little eatery and good atmosphere. Price reasonable.
Food is always really great and takeaway is always on time. Casual setting - suitable for a solo dinner, date night or family dinner. Not too expensive and its BYO wine which makes it even better. Not many of these places left on the beaches!

I eat here on average once a fortnight - such great Japanese food and at an affordable price. The sashimi is easily the best on the northern beaches. The staff are always friendly and prompt in their service.
Always a good experience here. The staff are pleasant and the food is always top notch. I enjoy the eggplant, sashimi and bento boxes. Take away salad is great too.
great sushi, also for take away. They offer a good lunch menu. Food is authentic and staff friendly. Went there for lunch and had sushi take away a few times.
Lots to choose from and my fave the sushi rolls are good value with lots of variety. Visit at least once a week as I work locally, never disappoints.

The restaurant could do with a little refurb but the food was plentiful and nice. The service is fast so if you're in a hurry this is a good option!
Great service, not a long wait for the consistently great food. The Bento box's are excellent valuer for money.
