Had passed this location a few times but we finally had time to stop and try it out. The staff were friendly and very efficient. Our order one of the ramens and multiple portions of salmon nagiri) arrived to our table moments after we sat down. It was delicious the ramen was wonderful so rich in flavour yet not overpowering. As for the nagiri.... oh my god. Could not get enough of that went back for more more portions than im willing to admit. The rice was firm and held its shape well, even when faced with the absolute assault from my chopsticks. The salmon on top was fresh and light ,wrapped the top and sides of the rice in a generous portion. Sushi stop? I wish it wouldn't ! would happily...
I needed a quick bite as I was running late for a show, so I decided to stop by Waverley Mall for a baked potato. I was grateful to find that it was closed, because I stumbled upon this amazing gem instead! My sushi arrived promptly, was incredibly fresh, and extremely delicious. It was almost too beautiful to eat! I highly recommend this place and will certainly be returning.
I purchased a box of salmon sushi, half a salmon roll, 4 pieces of salmon maki, and two pieces of salmon nigiri for £10, which is a great deal at £1 per piece. The fish was fresh and delicious, melting in my mouth, and the rice was cooked perfectly. I highly recommend this restaurant as they also offer a few vegetarian options for those who don't prefer fish or seafood.
When I started to go to this place around 2018 used to be really good food but on my last 2 visits I had food poisoning in April 2023 and I been served fake prawns June 2023 (macrae imitation prawn tails) and the flying fish roe was terrible too did not taste good , It is a shame they prefer keep price low instead give more quality food (AVOID THIS PLACE).

I came with a group of friends, and it was the best decision ever now we don’t stop coming, the menu was so diverse staff were so polite and the Tonkotsu Ramen was just amazing I couldn’t recommend this place enough trust me you won’t regret coming here. I think sushi stop has become a part of me 10/10
This sushi restaurant is great, not just because of its convenient location inside Waverley railway station, but also because of its affordable prices. I ordered a piece of salmon nigiri and it only cost me 6 pounds. The sushi is delicious and the staff is very friendly. It's a good place to eat!
One of my all time favourite sushi shop in Edinburgh. The food is always fresh and delicious, there's a wide range of products but the staff is the heart of this parlour. They're always professional, welcoming, warm, friendly and ready to offering good service and advice. Well done!
