"This is not just a cafe but also artisanal chocolatier. Very special and unique sweets that are beautifully displayed and I buy a lot of gifts there. I wish I didn’t have to go all the way to Switzerland for this"

Suteria has a great view of St. Ursen while sitting out side for a light lunch. Close to main entrance of town. I only had a tea and crescent roll but others in my party enjoyed a truffle and another ate one of their attractive...open faced sandwich soup. Pricey like most places in Switzerland but was very pleasant and enjoyed being outdoors while we sat to enjoy our break. Great location. I should have bought some truffles too! They looked amazing! I should mentioned, some where served right away then there were two in our party that for some reason our waitress forgot about the rest of the order? One of us had to go ask. All good since where had no where to be and in vacation mode.

Been coming here for years, mostly because of the convenient location right next to the cathedral and the good canapes. Overall solid café with good sweets, pastries and savouries. Pricey, but not out of the range. The service however is hit and miss and lacks...genuine effort to make the guest feel welcome.

This has to be the best place to buy the famous Solothurn torte, you can eat a slice on the patio while admiring St Ursen church or you can buy a whole one from the counter (different sizes are available The tort is actually...quite a bit lighter to eat than it looks....

Solthurn's cake is a hazelnut meringue with cream of it, which worth trying, even though its price is more than four euros. Irresistible to look at, are the shop windows of pastry cakes, full of colors and shapes at Suteria.
