Whenever I drive through Central Texas, I always make it a point to stop at the Bread Basket. They have a wide-ranging menu, and the staff is always professional and welcoming. I just filled up at their Texaco station, and the attendant even gave me a complimentary drink just for being a loyal customer. Right next door, you can find the Taco Basket, a video store, and a nail salon, so there’s always something to keep you entertained if you live nearby.
My initial visit to this restaurant was quite disappointing. Their advertised hours indicate they close at 3 PM, but when I arrived at 2:50 PM, they had already shut down and were busy cleaning up. It’s frustrating—if you're promoting hours until 3 PM, you should be serving customers until that time before beginning to close.
This place is a scam! I've filled up my gas tank here twice, and both times my credit card information was compromised. My bank alerted me to suspicious activity, and I've reported them for theft. Their gas pumps also charged me an unexpected amount between $1 and $5. Avoid this place for gas! They are thieves!
The staff was rude, and the food did not match the prices on the menu. When I inquired about combos, I was told they no longer offer them. Additionally, the food itself was disappointing; it tasted like it had been sitting under the heat lamp for quite some time. Book a table now
This place sucks for my first experience. It says 630 to 3pm. I show up at 250pm and they are all closed and cleaning up. WTH? If you say you are open till 3pm, then serve till 3pm and then start closing. Meal type: Other Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
The store turned off the lights 45 minutes before closing, leaving customers to browse in the dark for the last 15 minutes. If you plan to shop here, be ready to do so with very little visibility!
The tacos used to be excellent, but when I went today, they were all dry and tough. It seemed like the meat was old.
