Budget place, but money is better spent del taco or tamale kitchen. Food is equivalent to frozen food from the store.I wish I could recommend another small business, especially after so many were closed from COVID, but I just can 't bring myself to recommend eating here.Everything tasted store bought. The Chile rellenos tasted exactly like the frozen ones from the store, the beans were clearly from a can, the tortillas were store bought, even the rice tasted like the Mexican ready rice. The people working were nice and wanted to make sure we were taken care of, but that can only go so far when the food tastes like school lunch "Mexican food "I hope this place changes the food to better homema...

You Would think that a place like this that is rundown, and in desperate need of remodeling and repair would treat their local following a little bit better. Providing quality food that 's affordable but no, This place is so over priced and expensive it 's clear they 're desperate for money but none of it goes back into the business. An average sized smothered burrito cost almost $17! $1.00 charge each for Tomatoes, Lettuce, onion?!?! I can see for guacamole and sour cream but the normal garnishes??come on.... I 'm not sure who you are trying to cater too but y 'all need to make some upgrades before you go charging prices like that. Weak. Will not ever go back.
I've been coming to this restaurant for years, but sadly, it has become more expensive than any authentic Mexican place. The quality of the food has significantly declined. The family's tradition here is no longer worth the price you're paying; you're getting fine dining prices for food that is of lower quality than fast food. It just isn't worth it anymore. This place has been around forever, but at this rate, it won't last much longer. I'd recommend going to the location at Federal and Center instead— their prices are much more reasonable!
Service was great conversation was good I liked her she complimented my jeans but she never mentioned her name I might have asked her out If I would have known her name anyway I don't even know if shes single but its good affordable Mexican food the environment has gone down used to have music and comfortable booths decore now its just kinda fast foodie. Here is an updated menu as of Spring 2023. First walked in, place looks quaint. Chips and salsa arrived and it's bagged tostitos and jarred salsa. Taco meat is really well done and the food came out quickly. Burritos are large and their in house hot sauce is tasty also. Can't say I'll go back but it was a nice neighborhood spot.Food: 3/5
Literally the worst Mexican food I've ever had I can't even call it Mexican they didn't even have real meat it was just chicken the lady told me they've been there for 50 years I don't know how maybe 50 years ago the demographic made sense not no more step your game up Taco House
The food has always been excellent. I would give it 5 stars, but the prices have increased while the portion sizes have decreased. The enchiladas are now half the size they used to be and are more expensive. Food: 5/5.
The chips were tostitos and the salsa came from a jar. The guacamole came out freezing cold and wasn’t even thawed from the freezer. the enchiladas were decent and the only edible food. The service was alrightFood: 1/5 Book a table now
Absolutely delicious! The five asada tacos are fantastic. The restaurant has a wonderfully nostalgic atmosphere. Food: 5/5
Love their enchilada sauce. Glad you can buy it by the jar. I think it tastes better than most other mexican restaurants.
