Overall a positive experience! Finding Tacos Sahuayo wasn't too hard in the strip mall plaza. Coming in on a Saturday at lunchtime, it was moderately busy with a lot of tables all over. The cashier was super nice and easily able to order. It helped to know a little bit of Spanish in ordering and asking questions. Once I ordered along with ordering water), I sat at a comfy table nearby. After about waiting 5 7 minutes, the food came out and gave it all a try! I got the carne asada combo #3). This came with two pretty big pieces of carne asada, grilled onions, lettuce, beans, rice, and flour tortillas. I believe everyone also got a small order of chips and salsa. At the table was a green crema...

There's a lot of mexican food options on Carson but Sahuayo is a must try! The storefront isn't very appealing but inside you'll find its very clean and houses friendly positive employees. I'm a firm believer that food handlers must be this way or I go elsewhere. I ordered using yelp, basic Bacon breakfast burrito. I called about 10 minutes after ordering and to my surprise, it was ready! The tortilla chips are so exquisite they must be made in house. No other establishment on carson can hold a candle to these. Not too thin not too thick , crunchy and great flavor. The salsa options are delightful! i tried the red and green. Fresh and spicy with perfect amount of flavor. The burrito had pico...
What a great find! I've been to many of the Mexican food spots on Carson in Hawaiian Gardens but somehow Tacos Sahauyo escaped me. The menu had much more to offer than your average taqueria. I asked the cashier for some recommendations and she said the chile relleno were super popular and also that they had just finished a new batch of posole. I ordered both. They were both great. The red sauce with the chile relleno had a nice kick to it and I really enjoyed that they used queso fresco in the chili instead of a more melty cheese. The posole was very rich and well seasoned without being salty. Another spot to add to my rotation for sure.
With respect. I have to say, I ordered chilaquiles, they usually have egg tomato, the basics, the tortillas they used were simple nachos, with the sauce they use regularly, a cheese shake with sauce, very poorly prepared. The white rice without flavor, the beans ok!! But the dish was very poorly served, they didn't have any chilaquiles, rather they were just nachos with a lot of sauce and the rice was bad, very bad. They had to improve, I had to put something to make them better and something else happened but I only put the point of the chilaquiles nachos Book a table now
Ordered a Torta de Milanesa and I was very disappointed. Bread was stale and hard and the milanesa was burnt. I ate as much as I could cuz I was hungry but not going back. This was my 2nd time here, last time I ordered tacos and there tortillas are handmade but there was too much tortilla and not enough meat, making every bite dry. I'm through with Sahuayo. Grub w Greg idk bro?
I've been coming here for years, I'd guess about 15yrs. But since they sold the place it's not the same. Every time I come it's. 30+ min wait (to go or dine in) and the food most definitely taste different, not in a good way. Shame that they would make so many changes for the bad. I definitely don't come as often as I used to. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30
Service is very slow, the waitresses do not serve you as before, I hope they improve, the food is not like before, it was a very good place. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
