My experience at Take A Break Cafe was extremely disappointing due to the poor service. Despite there being seven customers waiting to order, we were completely ignored. When we finally spoke up, we were directed to use a kiosk to place our orders. Frustrated, everyone eventually left without ordering. It would be an improvement if they demolished the building and expanded the drive-thru lanes. The Wendy's nearby still has staff inside taking orders, providing much better service.
The restaurant had a bottle of hot sauce on the table that expired on September 20, 2020. I only noticed it today, and maybe that's why my stomach is hurting afterwards. Please make sure to check the expiration dates on your products!
We waited in the drive-thru for 25 minutes and ultimately decided to leave. This was the most disappointing service we have ever encountered. We plan to reach out to corporate about our experience tomorrow.
The portion sizes are ample, and the Cafe con Leche is outstanding. If you want a tasty Cuban breakfast or lunch without a long wait, this is the place to be! The service is also very welcoming. Book a table now
At Take A Break Cafe, the homemade soup was absolutely delicious, the menu offered high-quality dishes, and the customer service was outstanding.
The chicken was very dry, but their breakfast is quite tasty. Unfortunately, after the lunch experience I just had, I won’t be coming back.
