Knew nothing about it and just took a chance. Glad we did. The food was of the best quality and perfectly cooked. My nephew , who is a fussy eater, cleared his plate. The aubergine bhaji was as tasty as it was beautiful. I had Chenna Masala and a amazing batura. The decor was simple, the service excellent and although it’s not the cheapest of places, the quality and attention to detail made it great value for money
I was sceptical when I walked in about the taste and quality…but the moment I started eating was really taken aback. Very fine South Indian food with right proportion of oil and spices. Very delicious food. I am a vegetarian and found non influence of non veg in the veg food. Oil used is seperate. Would recommend even for pure vegetarians.
Unfortunately, we had to wait 30 minutes for a table despite having a reservation for 8pm. We were finally seated at 8.30. The food was fantastic, but the portions were a bit small. The dishes were very flavorful though. It would have been a nice touch to receive a small complimentary appetizer like popadoms and a pickle tray.
The South Indian food at this restaurant is delicious and authentic. While the starter portions were a bit small, they were still very tasty. The curries, especially the Malabar curry, were excellent. Although it may not be the most affordable option, the quality of the curries more than makes up for it. Book a table now
The food was ok in terms of flavor, but the lamb I had was grisly and tough. The prices were high with one small dish of rice costing about $6.00 (it had to be ordered as a side dish for a curry dish) and a single piece of bread similar to naan bread was about $7.00. Not impressed and wouldn't go back
This is a small restaurant but the curry is truly delicious and homemade. This is not a fancy restaurant and there was no alcohol served, but if you are looking for a delicious authentic Indian meal close to the University of Edinburgh campus, then this is the ticket.
I went to the restaurant with six friends last night and we were all extremely impressed with the food and service. It was an absolute delight and I can't praise it enough. I'm sure my friends would agree. Thank you so much, we are excited for our next visit.
The food here is exceptional. The special dosai was crisp, and light and filled with lovely veg curry and served with 4 little dishes of spices and sauces. My friends curry was lovely too and the lamb was very tender. Book a table now
