Taplands - Table reservation

Hubby and I ate here around 3:30 on a Friday. We were seated immediately. All tables and bathrooms were clean and servers wore masks (contrary to what a previous reviewer claimed. All the indoors is beautifully remodeled if you remember Yorba Cantina, it is much nicer now! Food took a little long getting out, but they 're a new business so we gave them some grace. We ordered electric fries, electric tacos, fish tacos, and the beignets for dessert. My favorite by far was the fish tacos. They had large chucks of cod perfectly cTheir beer list was good and we enjoyed a fruity IPA Juicy ??something and their hef. Loved the hef! We will be back! It 's very nice to have a nicer restaurant on this...

This beer bar boasts an impressive selection of brews accompanied by light food options. On a Friday night, the venue was bustling with patrons, likely due to its proximity to a college campus. It's worth noting that the local Jesuits differ from Baptists—thank goodness! However, I rated my experience lower because the kitchen seemed overwhelmed. We waited 40 minutes for a charcuterie plate and pita with dips, neither of which required cooking. The kitchen definitely needs to improve its efficiency, especially with the new no outside food policy. A good starting point would be to stop serving heated olives; I've never encountered hot olives before, and they certainly didn’t taste better warm...

The service was a bit slow, but we understand that it’s a new establishment, so we didn’t mind waiting too much. We ordered the electric fries, electric tacos, fish tacos, and beignets for dessert. The fish tacos were my favorite by far—they were delicious with perfectly cooked cod. Their beer selection was great too; we enjoyed a fruity IPA along with their house brew, which was impressive! We love this place and plan to return! It's fantastic to have such a beautiful restaurant in this part of the city. Update: On August 4th, I stopped by for lunch on Tuesday. Fantastic bar! The owner is always around and eager to chat with guests. You can really tell that he’s passionate about his business and values his customers. I discovered this spot seven years ago when I was working at the escape room upstairs. One of the corporate events we were hosting brought me downstairs, and I had an amazing first experience. This place introduced me to a wide range of beer varieties, and it never fails to impress!
