First of all, the place is in what appears to be an old makeshift nightclub. Really sketchy. As a white guy from the suburbs, its former identity is not a place I'd normally go, but I love Caribbean food so we went in. When you enter, you go to the window all the way back and they take your order. I had goat curry, plantains, rice and peas, and corn. My wife had chicken curry, plantains, and collard greens. The prices were very reasonable. 15/17 for small/large. The portions were quite satisfying. The food came out quickly. They had signs up that the food takes 10-15 minutes like that's a problem; i don't think it took that long anyway but we were the only ones there. The food was unbelievab...
Wow, just wow! My wife and I discovered an incredible hidden gem while driving back to Charleston from Greenville, SC, and it’s only 7 minutes off the interstate. What a delight! We ordered the jerk chicken and curry chicken, which came with rice and peas, cabbage, collards, and a beef and chicken pie. This place is the real deal, and the customer service and hospitality were fantastic. We left with our taste buds dancing! I highly recommend it—three thumbs up and a solid five stars from us!
I was quite shocked after initially paying then 2 days later being recharged to include a tip I never offered to pay. I did not include a tip amount on the receipt so for them to add their own tip to MY total was very unprofessional and I am in the process of getting it disputed. If the issue doesn’t resolve by Thursday I will be back up there questioning why a tip was added to my order that I did not put. Very disappointed. Very unprofessional and honestly it’s stealing.
so yummy!! i ordered a plate of stewed chicken and they were actually out today, so instead i got jerk chicken! i am so very pleased! the jerk chicken is some of the most spicy i’ve ever had which i LOVE! i had also never had mac and cheese flavored in this exact way, and now i am absolutely addicted! i really hope to come back this week and get some stewed chicken, im sure it’s wonderful as well!!also… SUCH large portions! i can eat off of this box at least twice!

The place is rustic BUT the food is Authentic Jamaican and a hit with our group. Bring your apetite the portions are goos and you're going to want a 2nd order or jerk or ox tail to go!Vegetarian options: Rice peas, collards, cabbage, corn and peppers, green beans, mac'n cheese, candied yams, and fried sweet plantains
When I visited the restaurant, a significant portion of the menu items were unavailable, despite arriving in the early afternoon. There were no beef patties, no coco bread, no roti, and no rum cake. It felt like we had no choice but to settle for what was left.
The oxtail was incredible—they truly excel with it. However, the mac and yams? That combination is supposed to be the best soul food out there, but unfortunately, I’d rate the yams and mac at just 2/10. Not impressed!
I drive an hour to get a plate. The Caribbean food near me isn't the best. The wait sometimes took a star away but, don't let that turn you away.
