If you want some homemade flavor with local flare, we recommend this place. It was our first visit...we'd heard it was good and it is! My wife had the Sherry Chicken (almost a keto dish) with turnips and M&C. I went for the larger portion with 3 sides had the Meatloaf with turnips, mashed potatoes and speckled beans. We both had corn bread. Everything was outstanding...delicious! We had a little room left, so we split a strawberry cobbler with ice cream...best strawberry cobbler I've ever had! The meal was a bit pricey, but in today's times...it was fair for the portion served. We arrived right at noon on a Wednesday...the place is not too large and it was already pretty full. This restaurant stands out even in the deep south, where excellent meat-and-three lunch spots are plentiful. The mac and cheese is the best I've ever tasted, and the black chickpea cornbread is outstanding. The salad plate featuring seven different salads is wonderful. Plus, the service is friendly and attentive.
The food was wonderful and the service was genuine. Very glad I was able to try this restaurant out. If you're in the area it is a welcome to the south style country cooking. Lots of love and thought put into each item we ate. Very affordable as well.
Wow, the large Veggie plate was quite delightful! I enjoyed every bite, as it had all my favorite items. I had always passed by this place before, but I’m so glad we finally decided to stop in. We'll definitely be coming back regularly from now on!

Unique experience. Good food but limited menu. I enjoyed the salad plate that consists of seven small portions of a variety of salads, such as jello salad, pineapple salad, carrot salad, etc.
