We were excited to sample a variety of dishes! Yes, some of them ended up coming home with us. The Watermelon Fresno drink was a delightful mix of sour, salty, sweet, and refreshing, with just a hint of heat from a slice of jalapeño! The mac and cheese, dynamite shrimp, crab and artichoke dip, and skillet cornbread were all outstanding! We definitely have more for later! Not included in the photos is the delicious chocolate chip cookie skillet topped with vanilla ice cream. With a lovely waterside view, the patio seating (complete with an umbrella for shade) and the gentle breeze made for a wonderful experience.
This fantastic restaurant located on Shem Creek is a true gem. There's plenty of parking available, so that's one less thing to worry about. The outdoor deck offers breathtaking sunset views across Charleston Bay, but we prefer to sit indoors; it's cozier and the decor is stylish and beautiful, like something out of Garden and Gun. As for what to order, the peel-and-eat shrimp is exceptional, and the roasted Brussels sprouts are a must-try as well. We also really enjoyed the cheese board, which featured a delightful assortment of cheeses and savory items.
Loved this place. Beautifully designed interiors, very open and comfortable. The food is excellent as well. We ordered from the brunch menu which was fairly limited but everything was delicious. The breakfast burrito was great. The brunch burger was excellent. Everything included on the bread board was fresh and tasty, without being too filling. My husband and I went to Charleston for the first time this weekend. I made reservations for this restaurant a few weeks back because of recommendations. The restaurant itself is beautiful. I would?ve loved to eat outside on the patio but the wait was over an hour?so we sat inside. My husband ordered the burnt ends Mac and cheese and I got the shrimp grits. Both were INCREDIBLE! Interior looks like Joanna Gaines decorated the place, gorgeous! Tasty cocktails, relaxing atmosphere, tables are spaced apart nicely, and food was delicious. We had the artichoke crab dip brisket mac n cheese. Both were fantastic! Hubby ordered the shrimp grits and loved it. Too much curry for my taste though. I had a wonderful evening at Tavern Table. The outdoor atmosphere was beautiful, and the service was excellent (thank you, Kim!). The food was delicious and fresh, and the selection of local craft beers was impressive. Overall, it was a relaxed and enjoyable experience with friends. I highly recommend it! Tavern Table was a great dinner experience. The atmosphere is beautiful, choose between the cool, modern interior or the spacey, scenic patio with views of the creek. The drinks were refreshing! We shared a few delicious appetizers and are eager to go back next time.
Very esthetically pleasing. Brunch eggs and bacon were good. My only complaint is that everything is fried. Wish they had a healthier brunch option or a gluten free kids menu. Over all good atmosphere and nice staff. Book a table now
This is a lovely restaurant situated by the water in Shem Creek. It was my first time dining here, and I will certainly return.
