I recently visited Tea by the Sea for afternoon tea to celebrate a friend's baby shower. As a vegan, my expectations were low as usual, but I was pleasantly surprised by the extraordinary effort the staff went to cater to my dietary restrictions. The staff members were very friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant was beautiful. I enjoyed three different sandwich fillings, a scone with a delightful dairy-free cream alternative, and four different delectable patisserie items. Everything was delicious, especially the moist cakes (which is rare in vegan baking). I highly recommend the vegan afternoon tea at Tea by the Sea - it exceeded my expectations even compared to dedicated vegan busin...
We went to this cafe to celebrate a friend's birthday and had a wonderful time. We happened to visit on the hottest day of the year so far, but the cafe made sure we were comfortable by providing air conditioning fans and opening doors when necessary. The food was delicious, consisting of traditional afternoon tea fare such as sandwiches, scones with cream, cakes, and tea. The hosts were very accommodating, even taking photos for us and being attentive throughout our visit. The cafe is conveniently located directly on Shoebury East Beach, making it an ideal spot to stop for tea and cake while enjoying a walk along the beach.
I found this place after following them on FB and then also getting them recommended for afternoon tea delivery. I was after two adult ones and a childs one for a family birthday. The communication was great and the teas arrived at 11:30 on the delivery day. They were so good we really enjoyed them. Especially my little boy the childrens one had a nice touch of chocolate spread with the scone instead of the usual cream and jam and also a pot of jelly and a little cupcake. Us adults enjoyed ours too all of it was fresh and delicious. Hope to come here in person one day.
We recently hosted a fantastic baby shower at this venue. The decorations and table setup were flawless. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it, with dietary restrictions taken into consideration. Sarah and Vinny went above and beyond to ensure it was a special day, no request was too much for them. This venue is a hidden gem and ideal for any type of celebration.

This little cafe is a hidden gem the couple that run it are so welcoming and friendly we only popped in for coffee and cake (home made), but after seeing the menu... we chose lemon curd waffles and banana and maple syrup pancakes omg amazing and huge portion. Twice we've been there and yet to try rest of menu, BUT cant get past waffles and pancakes.. see you soon guys
We hired this venue out privately for my Cousin's 40th Birthday Afternoon Tea. They had decorated beautifully with lots of room for everyone. The food was delicious. I have a number of food allergies and I was given my very own Tea, and didn't feel I was missing out on any of the delicious treats!! Thank you so much!!
Just came across this little tearoom/cafe today on a drive out. And what a delicious find, lemon waffles with ice cream and banana pancakes with maple syrup. Amazing, the home made cakes looked pretty yummy too. and a lovely couple who ran the place. Will Definitely be going back with friends in tow .
The tearoom is very inviting and the staff are really lovely.My niece is vegan and was great to have her dietery needs catered for.The food was excellent with a good selection of sandwiches and cakes.Will definately be visiting in the not too distant future.

Had a lovely afternoon tea today. Fresh sandwiches generous helping of cream with cakes freshly made scones. Pleasant atmosphere service. Even came too find us on East Beach when we left our umbrella behind.
