This was my first and last visit to this restaurant. It was absolutely terrible. I ordered yakisoba with beef to go, but what I received was deep-fried steak bites smothered in some kind of cheese sauce, along with a side of bland rice. I also wanted a simple California roll, but instead got something that was poorly deep-fried. This is not a Japanese restaurant—it's more Hispanic; even the music playing was Mexican. I will never return here.
I had been looking forward to trying this restaurant for some time and chose it to celebrate our anniversary. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. The food was extremely subpar; the salmon was dry, the shrimp wasn’t deveined, and while the rice was decent, the sushi was just okay. The service left much to be desired as well. We ended up spending $40 on what turned out to be some of the worst food available in Lagrange.
Fusion fiasco for sure! Went there for lunch with 2 friends yesterday and all of our stomachs were screwed after. 98% sure it was the rice. I guess they've switched owners some time ago, so the Latin flair in an Asian establishment was kind of confusing, and food poisoning is never worth it, so NEVER again!
I'm not sure what happened to this restaurant or who took over. It was originally a Japanese restaurant, but now it’s serving Mexican food? It feels like the place is trying to be something it’s not. I really miss the original owner; since they sold it, the quality has really declined. Book a table now
I would rate this a zero if I could. The place is old and needs a deep clean. Who puts mixed vegetables, including corn and green beans, in fried rice? Soda machine was flat. Stay away and spend your money elsewhere.
Get a Lunch box or Spicy chicken teriyaki. Super crunch roll is great.Random note: They also serve really good carne azada street tacos on the weekends.
While the atmosphere at Teriyaki Bistro is nothing to write home about, the service was excellent and the food was very good.
