We had a coupon for Tex Tubb's Taco Palace so we decided to check it out. We'd never been to the Atwater area. It was quirky with lots of unique stores, interesting architecture, and a fun young vibe. Tex Tubb's fit in perfectly. It was pretty crowded, but with only two of use, we are able to get right in. Our coupon got us chips and a small bowl of queso and a small bowl of guacamole. The guacamole has a lot of pico de gallo mixed in. Both were tasty. The chips however were primarily broken little pieces which were hard to dip. Tex Tubbs is a big hit with our family, something for everyone. We normally go about 5 times at least a year. Great Mexican food at a reasonable price. The outdoor patio they added in the parking is a bonus. Few things that could improve, tacos have gotten a little bit spicer (pork pineapple taco). Also, I really wish they would bring back the salsa bar miss it. Diffently recommend to friends and family.
Would like to visit again to try other options. We liked the place itself and the people. My taco was okay and the non-veg person I was with didn’t seem too crazy about theirs. But we both really liked the queso. I would definitely give it another try. Book a table now
Very tasty and accommodating to dietary restrictions! The cauliflower tacos were my favorite. I didn't like the fish tacos, they're strange, but I don't think they were prepared badly. Overall this is a great restaurant
Not going to say that they have the best tacos and burritos in the world here. But I keep coming back for their nachos. It is quite the portion and the cheese is really something else.
Consistently good. Vegetarian friendly, good drinks. I usually get dishes with sweet potatoes. Portions are huge, salsa bar is nice for groups with mixed heat preferences.

I love the vegan nachos. Half order is enough for just one person if you're really hungry.
