What a letdown. This restaurant used to be great, but I’m not sure what has happened. I stopped by and ordered ribs to go, but when I got home, I discovered they had given me brisket instead. I tried to eat it, but there was more fat than meat. I called to express my frustration, and they told me to return the next day for my ribs. Unfortunately, I woke up the following morning feeling ill. Despite my better judgment, I went back, but they informed me that they were out of ribs. I used to enjoy this place, but I don’t know if there are new owners or what, I’m afraid they've lost me as a customer.
Ok food. The Pulled pork was good. Baked beans were fine but tasted like Bush’s. Coleslaw was fine. Macaroni and cheese was dry.Not great customer service! I called at about 7:20pm on January 2nd. I asked if they were open and an employee said they were. My group got there about 10 minutes later and the manager said they were closing at 8pm instead of 9pm “because of the holidays”. When I told him about the phone call he didn’t seem to believe me. He said we could only get take out.
The food is absolutely delicious! They recently switched to a kiosk ordering system inside the restaurant, which is a bit different but it works well! The most important thing is that the food remains fantastic. While the ambiance isn't the most charming in town, I believe they should consider giving the interior a fresh look. Many restaurants have faced challenges due to Covid, and with the ongoing renovations in the shopping area, now could be a great opportunity for an update!
Contractor is a fantastic restaurant. The food is delicious, and the portions are generous. They serve authentic Texas-style BBQ prepared right in front of you in impressive smokers. The ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and BBQ chicken were all incredibly flavorful and tender. The homemade BBQ beans, potato salad, and coleslaw complemented the meal perfectly. The prices were very reasonable for the amount of food we received. We will definitely be returning!

I've been a fan of Texas BBQ for years, but I've noticed a change in ownership recently, and it seems like the new owner(s) or manager aren't familiar with what Texas BBQ is all about. The brisket is now so salty that it's nearly inedible, and the quality of the sides has also declined. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning to a place that used to be so great!
Overall, the meat was good and my family and I were satisfied. We ordered take out and it was near closing. The meat was slightly dry but still good, and we were given extra sausages so thank you! The sides were good too, we got the cole slaw, Mac n cheese and beans. Overall solid, and would support this place again!
Excellent! I highly recommend this restaurant. Why do I need to write at least fifty characters to express how outstanding it is? Just go and experience it for yourself. Honestly, Facebook can be frustrating!
Yum! Very tasty food! Prices are competitive. Hard to beat smoked meats for great flavor. Friendly staff. I recommend the restaurant.

The food is terrible and the beverage choices are minimal. What happened to the old Texas Pit???
