Textbook Boulangerie-Patisserie is a two-year old Bakery in Alexandria which makes some gorgeous and instagram-worthy cakes. Each piece of sweet delight has a reflective gooey outer shell and a soft-cake interior.
I bought four of them during my visit yesterday, namely the chocolate & passionfruit (dark brown), lychee (yellow), blood peach (red), pear and raspberry (light brown). Except for the lychee cake which has a stronger, intense lychee flavour, the remaining three appears to taste similar. For instance, the blood peach cake does not have a distinct peach taste and the pear & raspberry cake does not have the raspberry taste. I cannot tell them apart without looking at my photo...

The handmade bread is great and the French combo price is not bad. Not cheap for the main courses and cakes. Especially at this price, the service we had was really among the standards,

We received the wrong "reception" at the counter (a note that should be given to the coffee machine) and 20 minutes later, when we ask the waiter where our coffee where our coffee is, because they made me responsible for it. After a few sentences of arguments, she just came back and dropped the coffee cup after everything and dropped to the table.

Scrumptuous lunch at one of my fav hangouts while at work. From their winter menu I tried the Roasted Cauliflower and Gruyere, with a great depth of flavour in every spoonfull. A couple of mini bread buns on the side with terrific real butter and a great cuppa just made is seriously satisfying. I just had to follow this up with their amazing Wattle Tart, which besides its delicate flavours is just simply a piece of art. Thank you to the teamMerci et Chapeaux
The first time I went here, I tried her apple bubbles. Do not lie, it looks really sweet. The glaze was so smooth and the cake is not too sweet,

During the second visit, I tried several cakes and her croissant. The croissant was not crispy what made me disappointed. For the cake, it just tasted fine, nothing special

I live near here and I'm very lucky to have this little gem on my doorstep. The cakes are to die for, breakfasts on a weekend are not to be missed and the French pastries are delicious everything is made with love ❤️ and the attention to detail is awesome I'm in love
You serve a good baguette and a really big truffle cake! If it was not won away from the almond croissant, but the next time the simple croissants would try. Simple atmosphere with friendly staff.
