Unfortunately, it seems that TGIF is going through a decline. I used to enjoy eating there, but my recent experiences at different locations have been disappointing. This particular visit was especially bad. Our server, while friendly, seemed overwhelmed and took a long time to serve us. We had to repeatedly ask for basic items that were missing from our meals. Even after speaking with the manager, we only received our side dishes after everyone had finished eating. Additionally, there were issues with coupons being applied incorrectly, but I didn't have the patience to wait for it to be fixed. Too bad TGIF seems to be going down hill. Use to enjoy going but I’ve had some poor experiences in a few locations now. This visit was really a new low. Our server while friendly was overwhelmed by the tables he had and his style of getting one item at a time. We had to ask times for basic items for the food that was served. Finally got a side of vegetables and sour cream for a quesadilla AFTER EVERYONE was done eating their meal. This was even after me getting up to find the manager who said he would take care of it. Have dined here many times. Never realized it was on Open Table. Great news since there is usually a wait. However, when we arrived and told the hostess we had an Open Table reservation she said I don't like Open Table reservations because people come expect to be seated immediately and that's not always possible. I told her it was my understanding that even if there was a wait it would be next available that was okay by me. And then she stated it's not like it gets you anything in the long run. She seemed surprised when I explained about the points you accrue the rewards. Someone needs to explain how the program works and she should be more welcoming to Open Table users
The restaurant was not very crowded and we were seated right away, but it took a long time for our food to be served. We inquired about the delay twice and were told that the kitchen was busy. I could only imagine how sluggish the service would be if the restaurant was full. It appeared that they were understaffed.
