My colleague and I visited this restaurant in its previous location every week after we had finished lecturing at a nearby college. Despite the menu never changing and there being no espresso coffee available we felt compensated by the nice food and pleasant service. When they changed locations we thought that this may be the signal for some variation on the menu AND PERHAPS an espresso coffee machine - BUT NO!!! Same old, same old. Closing their old restaurant gave us the stimulus to try some other places in the area and whilst we still return occasionally now it is no longer with the same enthusiasm. New location. Nice ambience but the food wasn't as impressive as we had hoped.It was a special occasion and we had been looking forward to great Thai food.The prawn dishes were not very appetising and a lot was left. Best dish was beef.Curry was OK. Fried rice which friends had raved about was disappointing as even they said. Maybe a different chef from normal.Banana fritters were wonderful and the highlight of the meal.Good wine list but not cheap.Overall it was a nice place with friendly staff but .....
We previously dined at the Thai corner frequently, but ceased going as the price always seemed to be far higher than other similar places.We dined at Thai corner recently and found that whilst generally they are more expensive than similar, the price was far more reasonable.Each of the dishes that we had were very good and a delight to dine on. Our local takeaway was closed for the Christmas break so decided to venture out a bit further. Disappointing experience...Tom Yum soup with 2 prawns, nil vegetables, stir fry chicken that was minced chicken...never heard of such a dish! Wouldn't recommend and won't be back. Book a table now
We visited this restaurant with family as we have done several times before. It never fails to impress. The staff are so attentive, the food is so nice and the price is so reasonable. If you want a restaurant where you will never be disappointed this is the place.
1st experience was take away, food was great,to make the experience even better the owner gave us a glass of red wine while waiting for our order. 2nd time we ate in again the food was wonderful service great. lucky to have it as my local Thai restaurant.
