We had a great visit, which was a relief after some of the reviews we read about the troubles caused by the renovations going on. By the time we arrived, dining was not a problem because they were only serving people staying at the Ahwahnee many of the earlier problems seemed to be caused by trying to accommodate people from outside the hotel. The buffet was excellent although the service seemed a little harried, and I was surprised that the food selections changed throughout the evening my husband recommended the shrimp, but when I went back to get some it was gone. On the other hand, I wasn't inspired by the desserts I saw when I was getting my meal, but by the time I went back for dessert...

Gorgeous location and interior, well preserved.Everything else is above average but nothing extraordinary. I ordered the half plate of ribs, they were dry, and not tender, the sauce was tasty though. The meatball was good, moist but lacked any distinct flavor. I did enjoy the lavender lemonade.Service is good and the staff is pleasant. Please click the ??if you liked this review and follow me for more reviews! Thank you.

Our server was really wonderful. We both ordered the peanut noodles $22). The noodles were undercooked and starchy and there was about 1 ounce of vegetable and 7 peanuts, very little sauce. This seemed more like a side dish than an entree.Food: 2/5

Casual bar with upscale prices in the magnificent hotel. Worth stopping in for a hot toddy in the winter or refreshing G&T in the summer. Step outside and take in an invr double view of half domeFood: 5/5
