Visited the anchor today,thought we'd give it a try .went there because we had a 2 Yr old little 1 and we thought it had a secure outside area but the Gate was missing.ordered drinks pizza.when came was wrong .they offered to put toppings on but would be raw.thenthen said they do fresh 1.arrived itwas original !ecooked!!.recordedDisgusting .
Well priced drinks, good service and pleasant atmosphere. We stayed overnight, the room was good, but it was noisy the bar downstairs was in party mode !
Great pub, parking plentiful, selection of beers fab, staff lovely. Landlady very helpful on local area. Food not available but back soon.
Had a Sirloin Steak here, very good I asked for medium and that's what I got. Will return again at some point. Book a table now

"Warm welcome. Sat by fire which was very cosy and comfortable. Subdued lighting and lovely staff made for a relaxing atmosphere. Excellent food fish chips and chicken pie served very hot. Couldn’t have been happier."
