First time here and it was absolutely rammed on a Wednesday night. Very loud and crowded. We were unfortunately sat at the worst table in the place. Waiting staff bumping into me everytime they squeezed between the bar and my table to get to other tables. Within ten minutes of sitting down we were asked at least 7 times if we were ready to order. I thought they were trying to turn the tables around (turns out they weren't) so this immediately rubbed me the wrong way. They continue to hover around the whole time. Its quite bizarre and un-nerving and the wrong side of attentive. Also letting in large groups of drunken men to stand at the bar inches from people trying to enjoy a meal just doesn...

Had a really, really super al fresco pre-cinema dinner here. Service was friendly, helpful and efficient. Food was excellent . I couldn’t fault my grilled Dover sole with lobster beurre blanc and creamed spinach- fish expertly cooked and the whole dish marrying perfectly. We’d preceded this with bread and olives and I have to say that the sourdough bread was superb. It was a quick dinner because we were attending a show and that was the reason for our declining starters and desserts, but I’ll make certain to return and address that issue. It’s a great place.

We typically got here for pre-theatre before Old Vic or Young Vic. Seated at 6pm we are always out in an hour. Some of the best service in the area from a very experienced crew who have been there for years. Food is always inventive with lots of seasonal produce. Great price point considering food inflation of late.

The food was good, the service was okay, but the prices have become extremely expensive. I have been a regular customer for years, but I'm not sure if I will be returning anytime soon. The Sunday lunch lamb was priced at £37 per person, which I believe is overpriced.

We visited here a few times during our visit to London lunch, dinner and drinks. Interesting menu and food was delicious. Lemon pot with cassis is best dessert I’ve had for a while. Excellent service and especially great barman. Would definitely recommend

The food was good, but the wine was expensive and the service was terrible. We were asked to leave the table after waiting a long time for both service and our food. The prices were high for what felt like pub-style food and service.

We were a big group for dinner on Friday night. Service was quick, portions very generous. I’ve ordered Icelandic cod. It was greatly cooked, very tender flavour on the bed of spinach.

The fish was fantastic, the autumn apple cocktail was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the location was great. And don't forget about the amazing chestnut ice cream!

Fabulous food and excellent service. We had an outdoor table which was comfortable. The cider was delicious and the wine excellent. Great pub to eat at.
