David and I have keenly watched the career of Steve and were delighted to have him take over The Anchor which is a few minutes from home. We had high expectations of the meal and were blown away by the magical dishes. We loved the warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere and chatted happily with other diners. The best thing about this lovely village pub is that at it's heart is family. Now, to the food, every mouthful was tasty, little bursts of contrasting yet complimentary flavour. I was particularly pleased that I was able to order a chocolate dessert which has not happened in years as I am allergic to dark chocolate and am always disappointed that chefs favour it. What an incredible find! It’s truly a hidden gem. We’ve been living in Leighton Buzzard for seven years and just dined here for the first time today. The food was absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making us feel right at home. I highly recommend this place—it’s perfect for families, with a lovely outdoor playground for children. Thank you for an unforgettable anniversary lunch; we can’t wait to return!
