This bakery alone is reason enough to move to Tarrytown! I live across the river but take the train to NYC occasionally, which was how I discovered this amazing cafe. First off, their almond croissant is absolutely the best in the world as an almond croissant aficionado, I have tasted many many : we buy them to take home wherever we pass through this station. Other items are of equal calibre in taste and quality. Most recently we sampled their savory biscuit, mushroom cheddar quiche and beef empanada, plus homemade lemonade. That was when we got the impulse to check out real estate prices in Tarrytown haha! Service is always friendly and attentive. The cafe is in the old defunct ticketing of...

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Bakehouse in Tarrytown, NY. The service was abysmal from start to finish. The staff was unfriendly and seemed uninterested in helping my boyfriend and I as we waited at the counter. As soon as we got to the counter the staff broke off in different directions to do other things totally disregarding us standing there and the café wasn't even busy. It honestly felt like it was because we were black and we were both excited to try this place out. I expected so much more from a place with such a good reputation, but I left feeling completely dissatisfied. I won't be returning and would advise others to avoid this place.

We took a walk all the way from downtown and were excited to discover this cool coffee shop. We arrived at 2:55 PM, and the woman at the counter was friendly and asked for our orders. She started to pack our cookies, and we mentioned that we wanted to eat in, along with ordering two cups of tea. However, a man, who I assume was the manager, informed us that they were closing at 3 PM. We thought we could at least sit down and enjoy our hot tea, but they had already cleared away all the chairs. This left us sitting outside on a bench, with our cups of tea on the ground and cookies on the bench. They don’t even have any outdoor seating. It was quite disappointing.

I absolutely adore this bakery (I just wish I lived closer)! I visited last October on my way to Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, and I'm looking forward to going back in the coming weeks. The cookies and croissants were fantastic and did not disappoint at all. I'm leaving this comment because I would hate for this bakery to fall prey to the Headless Horseman — it’s simply too delicious! Book a table now

Not what I expected at a train station. Food was delicious and fresh. I highly recommend the frittata sandwich. A lot of vegetarian options. And you do not need to take a train to enjoy this place. They have nice spacious area to sit down and eat.

Ideal spot for baked goods, coffee on the run or to sit, enjoy and chat. Only place I know in the vacinity to get fresh baked bread too. Haven't had the food though. Only sweet tooth goodness for me
