We made a reservation for Sunday dinner and it did not disappoint. The bark was cooked to perfection, just like the roasts. When booking a table, try to request one on the upper level, as the ambiance there is stunning; we found it to be a bit chilly downstairs. The staff were wonderful and attentive throughout our meal.
I had an excellent Sunday roast that was piping hot and beautifully presented. However, I was a bit disappointed with the atmosphere. The tables were missing from the one opposite, and the chairs were just stacked up, which really detracted from the ambiance. Despite this, I would still consider returning.
A lovely traditional pub with a charming atmosphere. They encountered some issues with the pumps, but the staff handled it promptly and with a great sense of humor. It was steak night, and despite the rainy weather, the food was excellent!

Went here the other night with 4 friends and sat in a very nice room above the main bar Pleasant unstuffy service, and very tasty food.
Food was really good. Staff accommodated 4 little kids really well and very helpful throughout. Will go back.
