Decent traditional pub food, well prepared and good value. Service also excellent. You won't leave hungry. Unfortunately it was let down by some of the clientele swearing loudly and frequently and not mildly either, far from it. Don't bring your kids. Once they'd left it was much improved. (Update July 2024): We went for dinner just because we didn't feel like cooking. We sat in the garden because the weather was nice. The food was great in quantity see the photo for some serious pie action) and quality and we were served by a very pleasant gentleman who I think was called Steven. Unfortunately there was one occasion of the less than ideal behaviour that I mentioned previously but that was a...

The staff were friendly, the vegetable pie was decent (with SERIOUS puff pastry!), but unfortunately the more interesting pint was no longer available when I visited. I have had too much of Doom Bar from staying at Premier Inns, so I opted for John Smiths instead. I'm unsure why I rated the atmosphere with 3 stars, perhaps it was because it was a quiet mid-week evening. The restaurant is located in a somewhat upscale housing estate that considers itself a village. The car park is managed and requires you to register your vehicle on a tablet. It may not have a traditional pub feel, but it's worth stopping by for a meal and a drink.

I call here when im travelling and have always found the staff welcoming and accomodating . They were busy but knew we wanted a quick bite to eat to continue our journey and fitted us in. Lovely food ,its a great stop before the M1.

The bell public in Marston is full of gossiping..the place is full of cocain takers it's a shine hole. Over priced and full of waister. The management are simple idiots I wouldn't go in the place in a million years .shine hole Book a table now

The staff at this restaurant are extremely friendly and welcoming, making our 5 and 7 year olds feel right at home. The only suggestion for improvement would be to offer a vegetarian option for kids on the menu.

They charge £6.55 a pint. This is just your typical old pub, and it's close to £7 a pint. I left after 1 but the irony is I would of stayed and spent more if the prices weren't that high.

Very disappointed, no one in there and staff was unwelcoming and prices of drinks were ridiculous. Only stayed for 1 before moving on
