Been going to Betsey Wynne for 15+ years as used to live local and now only live about 10 miles away. We 've seen a steady slip in the customer service and quality, which culminated in a family birthday meal exactly one month ago. A Sunday evening that seemed oddly quiet for a sunny weekend evening, we experienced multiple dishes that we ordered being unavailable; obnoxious bar staff; lack of cutlery; table not cleared between courses; mediocre food (avoid the £13 Gambas Pil Pil starter at all costs); cold coffees right down to ketchup bottles that would look more at home in and East End greasy spoon. Lovely restaurant and great ambiance. The food was so good, I could have done with bigger portions. The staff are really sweet, welcoming and attentive. Disappointing. Over priced food and drink.The sausages we had with sausage and mash must be the poorest we have ever had. Would not recommend. Four in our party, all disappointed. Not going again.

We visited Betsey Wynne twice on our trip. The team were all very welcoming and we couldn't fault their service. The food was also lovely. Good portions sizes and very tasty.
