The open times need updating as they aren't consistent anymore. Says open at 11 on Google for a Monday but is closed at the location. Chips are cooked from frozen and somehow tasted amazing a couple months back esp with the amount of cheese they added for cheesy chip orders. As of now, the chips are nor up to that same standard nor is the cheese in amount nor texture the same as before. If there is no change needed, there is no need for change! This is possibly due to owner changes as one prefers to cook in batches and the other by order. Keep this in mind when revisiting this chip shop you might have once been fond of.
Often walked past this but went in for the first time today cos we wanted something quick and easy. It was amazing and we will definitely come back again! Really friendly and helpful staff, clean inside, and seats to wait. Food was freshly cooked and reasonably priced, and it tasted sooooo good. I think it's probably the best fish and chips I've ever had.
We had dinner for six at this restaurant over the weekend, near closing time. We ordered a variety of dishes for 6 adults and sat at the clean and inviting indoor tables. The food was delicious, portion sizes were generous, and the staff were incredibly friendly with great banter. We would definitely consider stopping by to eat here again in the future.
I walked into the restaurant and was immediately served. The atmosphere was nice, clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly! I'm not usually a fan of fish and chip shops, but the kids wanted it... I couldn't find any faults with the food. It wasn't greasy or heavy, and the curry sauce was delicious! I am definitely a fan of fish and chip shops now.

We stopped by for a late dinner takeaway. They still had their daytime special pricing signs out which was a bit frustrating. The chip portions were generous, the chips were fresh and the cardboard box was a nice touch. The fish cakes were just the standard mass-produced kind, but overall we enjoyed our meal. I would recommend this place.
We arrived after 8.pm not realising that that is when table service ends. No worries, chairs pulled off the table and our order was then freshly cooked. Did we want Tarter sauce, something of which I’m not normally a fan? It is home made, we were told, and what a revelation after years of avoiding the glass jar version this was wonderful.
Went here for lunch with some friends amazing deal of 2 cod/chicken/halloumi with chips and a sauce side for only £5! Perfect portion size and absolutely fantastic proper classic chip shop, with A* service from the staff. Would 110% recommend.
Laura and the evening staff served us up a quick and delicious chippy tea. A must visit if you hankering for a proper British Chippy Tea. A staple of the community for Bath Road and Cheltenham Town!

Stopped doing GF fish and chips on a Saturday. Been coming monthly for years, but as no longer doing a Gf option, we’re no longer patrons
