A welcoming historic pub in a lovely town, and a fantastic stay. The weather was very kind to us so we got to enjoy the lovely beer garden. We stayed over and our room was cosy, with a comfy bed and a nice powerful shower. We also had an evening meal, there is a good choice of traditional pub grub and what we ordered was delicious (so much so that we decided to stay a bit later to have Sunday lunch before heading back home, this was also superb). The evening we stayed there was also an excellent singer, and we got to make friends with the locals and staff, who were all friendly and super lovely.
