"Noted the Inn when I booked a holiday in Longtown and pleased we got to go. Booked relatively late in the day but they were able to oblige. Had a very good meal, Crab Linguine, Beef Burger and rump steak and salad with lovely chips. Very good desert of white peach and raspberry cheesecake too."

I discovered this restaurant on PitchUp, and to be honest, the photos didn't do it justice. I arrived early on Friday and was pleasantly greeted by H, the owner. He was a helpful and pleasant guy. I also met Lou, his partner, who was very pleasant as well. The pub itself is beautiful, a lovely old traditional country pub. I came camping for the weekend and the showers and toilets were very clean and well presented. The atmosphere was lovely. I would recommend visiting and seeing for yourself. Thank you, H and Lou.

We went for lunch on Sunday and were disappointed to find that there was no menu, giving us no choice in our meal selection. Unfortunately, the food was subpar and reminiscent of a poor school dinner. Additionally, we were greeted with loud music and an overly friendly hostess. We had visited this pub years ago and had a pleasant experience, but it seems that it has since changed ownership. We won't be returning in the future, which is a shame as it is a lovely pub in a beautiful area.

Hit and Miss. Shame, the pub and place is magical, but ownership and staff are clearly changing. One day, the best steak truffle chips with attentive enthusiastic pleasant staff. One of the best restaurant experiences i 've had. Next day, sorry we 're not serving food, because our fryer isn 't working . The odd thing was that they were continuing to serve food, puddings and allsorts to customers. Weirdest restaruant experience I 've ever had.

Very disappointing, used to be a great pub with great food but sadly no longer. Very below average food, unkempt and dirty surroundings (especially the outside patio area). The bar unfortunately now has large ugly speakers with what looks like a karaoke function and plays inappropriate pop music.
