We ordered a large portion of chips with a large cod but was horrified when we got home to find what looked like a kids portion of food. When you pay that much money you expect to get what you paid for but not with this restaurant clearly. The food was also under cooked such as the fish, saveloy and sausage that we had also ordered. To add to this nightmare the food was freezing cold. Furthermore, Considering we are in a Global pandemic and gravesham is currently so high for COVID cases, not one person who works here was wearing a mask neither were any of the customers. I have had many fish/chips meals from here since opening and up to now they have been good to very good. Recent purchase of my normal order regretfully, revealed a marked shrinkage of the medium cod. The normally, well cooked chips were too crisp/small and full of hard pieces. Based upon this last order their normally generous helpings/standard of size has degenerated to the level of some other chippies. The only positive aspect was the taste of the fish/batter which was of a good level but again to small against comparison from similar previous orders.
I ordered food at 5 pm on a Friday evening and it arrived 2 hours later. The food was cold, the portions were small, and overall it was disappointing. When I called to inquire about the delay, I was simply told that "they are very busy." Obviously, it was a Friday night, so it's not surprising that they were busy.
We used to frequent this restaurant when we lived in town, but since moving we have been hesitant to order fish and chips for delivery. However, we recently gave it a try and were pleasantly surprised. The delivery was fast and the fish and chips arrived piping hot and still crispy.

I don't go here often enough but after todays flyby lunch I will make more of an effort. im 52 and a lover or fish n chip Friday so you imagine I quite the coinsure. Undoubtedly the best piece of cod and chips I ever had. A meaty succulent freshly cooked cod with double cooked chips
It was training day for a young Chinese employee under the watchful eye of experienced Richard. I must say, I really enjoyed my haddock and chips. The restaurant was clean and the staff were welcoming and cheerful. I loved it.
Purchased lunch consisting of special meal deal plus double cheeseburger chips. Excellent service and generous portions, as always. Everything was cooked to perfection.

My favourite fish and chips in Gravesend. I've been using it for a number of years. Lunchtime Cod and chips is my favourite.
