Hankering for a burrito but was on a budget since November holds 3 birthdays consecutively. Arrived at Southbank and noticed there are 3 Mexican food outlets on one corner; A fancy restaurant nearer the park, Gomez & Guzman opposite & the one we picked 'the burrito bar' that advertised a $5.40 lunch burrito.Table of four we ordered chicken burrito and house special fries with cheese sauce.While the burritos were tasty, well wrapped and warm, there was a distinct lack of actual chicken. The shredded chicken was more like a paste. The fries were burnt, smothered in spicy taco seasoning and almost inedible.
Been here several times it is always consistent clean friendly staff and the food is BUEATIFUL we've tried a lot of different things here but a must have with any meal or a snack if passing is there Mexican fries there to die for with there special sauce today the daughter had deluxe nachos I had a taste very nice and I went the half rack of ribs with Mexican sauce I have had these before with the smokey bbq sauce as well both are delicious this place is very reasonable as well been here before and will be here again
We ate here recently and tried the mexican fires and the burritos. The mexican fries were absolutely lovely, they were piping hot and the dressing was nice and we thought briefly that this was going to be a nice evening meal, BUT then the burritos came to our table and they were bland, dry and totally tasteless. In fact without a doubt the worst mexican that we have ever had. There was no sauce on the burritos, no cheese and no refried beans which we were sure that they stated on the menu.
These guys could really do with some motivation. Burrito was a soggy wrap with rice, little evidence of any actual pork or beans . Quesadilla would have made for a small snack , not the feast the price suggested . Pity , not so long ago this was a great little spot . Seems to have changed hands, and not for the better.

Awesome place to head down for a cheap work lunch with colleagues and a few beers. the wings are hot and spicy, the burritos plentiful and cheap but full of meet and all the good things.Seating is great in a buzzing part of South Brisbane. Definitely recommend the lunch special and hot wings for sharing.
Ate here with kids and grandparents - food was fresh, quick and suitable for the whole family i.e. options for those that like spicy vs not so spicy and gluten free options too. Specials are very affordable
25c wings?!? On a Wednesday? It's honestly insane how good a value this offer is! Get the BBQ flavour and make sure you're not on a first date! These are messy! $9 for a coke and 20 wings! Yes!
They had very cheap wings, no napkins, took some from another table. They were hard to get out with sauce on your fingers and the server didn't really want to be there and it showed.

Food is fresh, kids loved their nachos, wings are awesome- both the bbq & spicy version. We had dinner & drinks for a family of 4 for under $40
not the best example of the modern Mexican restaurants the food here lacks taste and zing i get elsewhere - looks like a me too chain
