This charming coaching Inn is located in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds well situated for the city of Oxford and Bletchley Park. The food is good quality and reasonable priced. Staff are friendly attentive and efficient. who makes staying here a pleasurei. The rooms were clean but in need of refreshing/ refurbishment hence the four stars) would definitely stay again. The restaurant's decor was outdated and could use some refreshing. The cupboards next to the bed had a noticeable layer of dust and cobwebs, which was disappointing. However, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the food was excellent. Overall, the rooms were rated a 2, the service a 5, and the location a 5. One positive highlight of the hotel was its quiet atmosphere.
Found this hotel by pure fluke! We had stayed at another hotel, which was atrocious! And we had to find another one quickly. We were met by friendly helpful staff, who was more than helpful. Clean and cozy with all the essentials, including plush oversized shower towels. The TV was good, and there were the usual coffee and biscuits available. The restaurant was a pleasant experience, although there was a bit of a wait as everything was cooked fresh. But it was definitely worth it. Overall, the hotel was a great value. Book a table now
A lovely pub in a very old building. I only stopped in for a cider. Staff were very friendly, and seemed a lovely place. Food menu looked good and very reasonably priced, not that I tried it so cannot comment on quality. Shame the outdoor area was not better. Service: 5 Location: 5

Nice rooms spotlessly clean the Staff were excellent nothing was to much trouble, great Breakfast menu with plenty of options. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and would not hesitate to return. Well done the Cartwright Team! Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
