I apologize for my delayed review, but I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who worked on November 28, 2017. You helped make our daughter's high school reception truly special. The staff was amazing, the food was outstanding, and the price-performance ratio was excellent. The bar service was also fantastic. This is a fantastic pub! The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming, and it’s dog-friendly while still being exceptionally clean and tidy. The view over Portsmouth is amazing, even from inside. The space is large but comfortable, avoiding a sterile feel, and is beautifully decorated with a contemporary theme. There’s a spacious outdoor dining and drinking area that complements the stunning view. The food is of good quality and reasonably priced. It's definitely worth a visit!
We dropped in for a quick drink on the way home last evening. It was great to see that since we last visited the place had been made over having changed hands. Everything looked fresh and well presented. The staff were friendly and as it was quiet there was no waiting at the bar. The restaurant seating was well laid out and there were a variety of menus. Outside there was a new large seating area and a new outdoor bar. Next time we’ll stop for food to try out the menu.

great atmosphere! such a beautiful surprise. Live music was fab, tom millichamp they are a star! tasty eating, great service of bar staff, namely kelan, who could not have done more to make our visit so perfect. well made churchillian team! we'll be back soon.
Nice lobster and prawn cocktail calamari and prawn starter. Followed by cod and chips horseshoe gammon. Tender fish cooked perfectly. Nice atmosphere, good decor. Great views. Service was prompt and friendly even when busy.
Lovely pub, dog friendly with amazing view on both sides of the hill. Really amazing for a dinner and a drink. Nice vegan options like a beetroot tart or a vegan nachos. Will definitely come back.
Dog friendly pub. Nice staff. Food is great and well priced. Can recommend the hunter chicken very nice mmm. Duck was good as well. Will go back again.
